LIST OF NATCOM MEMBERS ELECTED AT THE NATCOM MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 6-7, 2008, AT GANDHI PEACE FOUNDATION, NEW DELHI
Inaugural welcome: Ravi Hemadri
- How recent Mumbai blast has affected whole Indo- Pak peace sentiments, how everyone from Political parties, including ruling Congress party to media are fanning anti Pakistan propaganda which is extremely aggressive and conflict provoking.
- Just after the blast PM made announcement for bringing POTA like stringent law and formation of federal investigating agency, but this does not represent the whole picture as this problem can not be just dealt with Gill- Narayanan approach where State brutally suppress all secular- democratic voices and infringes countless human rights violations. We have seen, even in Punjab insurgency and Sikhs problems could not only get resolved with KPS Gill gun and violence policy only but by increasing peoples’ say and share in power. Unfortunately, now Mr. Naryanan is also following same line and our PM also falling for same approach. But, we all have to realize these are not mere security problems, there are much complex realties behind these chaos and we have to get to the root causes other wise despite government strong measures it could not be contained.
